AC Vertical Drive Unit

With over two decades of motor manufacturing experience in the belt, PMECPL delved into manufacturing of vertical drive units. All of our products are import substitutes, then why can’t the vertical drive unit be MADE IN INDIA with the same reliability and performance that characterises our motors, and at an extremely competitive rate. These units can replace Bonfiglioli/Comer, Tekno, Metalrota, CFR and other drive units or motor-in-wheel units.


One of the most important point that differentiates our unit from others is not robustness, OR reliability, OR low noise-of course these have to be inherent features just like our motors- it is the low current consumption of our units. Compared to imported units our units consume upto 30% LESS current, while offering same performance if not more, in terms of speed, gradability and continuous running under same operating conditions. Meaning PMECPL units are cooler, ready to go more, are less polluting, can save your money upto 30%-you can choose to reduce battery capacity or advise your customers to go more than 1 shift by upto 30%. These are very high speed units, 6.5km/hr being rated speed upto a maximum of 7.2km/hr. Maximum gradability is 8%, while maximum load on wheel can be 1200kg for PMECPL vertical drive unit.
These are pre-finished, fully tested, live-simulated systems ready to go under the hood of your trucks, after that you can choose to forget about them because of their extremely low maintenance nature.
These units come with a variety of options for motors and brakes. 5-hole wheel of 230mm OD OR 215mm OD and transmission ratio of 27.8 being constant across all variations. Standard brake torque is 20Nm. However other feasible brakes can be supplied with the unit. Motors range from 1.0KW up to 2.5KW for this configuration. External dimensions remain constant across all variations. 2D and 3D drawings can be made available upon request.
